You might ask, "Where did Perrin Farm Equipment begin?"
Well, it began with a dream and a man determined to create something worthwhile. Jack and Marian Perrin made this dream a reality.
Jack worked the land as a young man in the 1950s on his family farm alongside his grandfather. He also helped work the land for neighboring farms, so he was well educated in the ways of agriculture from a young age.
Eventually Jack's keen mind and curiosity led him to venture more into the mechanical side of agriculture and he began his journey into the world of tractors and farm equipment.
At the age of 18 he was hired by Carlton Caterpillar in Albany Ga and he stayed with Caterpillar for two years repairing tractors and large equipment. It was here that Jack gained his initial knowledge of hydraulics. After leaving Caterpillar he landed a job at Tifton Tractor Company where he was soon promoted to shop foreman and developed a reputation for his mechanical talent and dependable service. It was at Tifton Tractor company that Jack furthered his education in the world of tractors. The knowledge he gained from Tifton Tractor Company has helped in making his company successful.
By the mid-1970s with the help of the Lord, Jack started his own tractor repair and service business. It was a small beginning starting out under a pecan tree in his father in law’s backyard. Jack then ran his service business from his home. With Jack’s dedication and hard work, it succeeded. Finally, in 1990 he was able to officially open Perrin Farm Equipment as a retail business. Almost a decade later in 1999 Perrin Farm Equipment became a Kubota dealership. The rest, as they say, is history.
